Obama and the “unconditional” cease-fire

If you have been paying attention at all, it should be obvious that Obama is no friend to Israel, and never has been.  This should be no real shocker if you know about his unprecedented relationship with the Muslim Brotherhood.

When Obama was strongly supporting Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood, a group that declared jihad against the West and Israel, even the New York Times reported this was a radical change in U.S. foreign policy.  Our president couldn’t blame Fox News this time for a negative report, because I’ve never heard anyone accuse the old New York Times of being too conservative!

According to the Gatestone Institute International Policy Council, the Egyptians themselves could not understand why the Obama administration was assisting Mohamed Morsi’s attempt to bring the Muslim Brotherhood back to power.  Must I remind anyone that this is a group that believes in Sharia Law and the killing of every Christian and Jew!  So when the Egyptian Military ousted Morsi, they charged Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton with conspiring with terrorists!

Interestingly, all of this ties with the current war in Gaza.  When Morsi was in charge in Egypt, he was supplying Hamas with weapons because Hamas is an arm of the, you guessed it, the Muslim Brotherhood!

Absolutely no ally of Hamas, the current government in Egypt is destroying the tunnels that lead from Egypt to Gaza (yes tunnels are there too), and it should be clear to anyone why it is important to once and for all rid Hamas of any tunnels leading from Gaza to Israel.

Keeping all of this in mind, last night there was a call from Obama to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.  He requested an “unconditional cease-fire” on humanitarian grounds.  To which of course he was given an absolute NO!  Afterwards, members of the Israeli government were obviously quite offended, and they were not shy about their feelings on twitter.

Now, I’m just asking, why is OUR president so determined to stop Israel from destroying the rest of the tunnels that Muslim Brotherhood’s Hamas has built that gives them access to Israel?

Wouldn’t it be MORE humanitarian for Obama to give a ring a ding to his friends over at Muslim Brotherhood headquarters and tell them to get their cowardly war criminal selves over to the hospitals, schools, and the homes where the innocent civilians are and to get their weapon stashes out of there?

Obama’s intervention has meaning, but deadly wrong on tranquility

During Monday’s press briefing, White House press secretary Josh Earnest said concerning the Obama administration’s foreign policies, “I think that there have been a number of situations in which you’ve seen this administration intervene in a meaningful way, that has substantially furthered American interests and substantially improved the, uh, you know, the – the tranquility of the global community”.  Seriously, even he had a hard time getting this garbage out of his mouth!

It’s hard to even know where to begin!  Just look at the obvious.  To say the Middle East isn’t the mecca of peace would be a serious understatement.  It is a weave of destruction, hard to unravel.  However, Obama hasn’t done one thing to make it better, and more than enough to make it worse.

No one could better attest to this than the people of Syria.  Since March 15, 2011 when the country broke out into civil war, over 150,000 people have died and many say the number of lives lost is closer to 220,000.  President Bashar al-Assad has been using chemical gas on his own people killing thousands.  He’s received Obama’s worthless “red line” but ignored the June 30, 2014 deadline to destroy the chemical weapon production facilities.  Now Obama is apparently working on some compromises that if not met will have “serious consequences”.  There’s little doubt the only trembling being done over this warning is from laughter, because everyone knows Obama’s consequences are along the lines of someone posing with a hashtag sign on twitter.

In Israel, Hamas is determined to continue firing over a hundred rockets a night.  When Egypt proposed a peace plan, Israel accepted and Hamas rejected it, even though almost 200 Palestinians have been killed this past week.  Israel already signed one cease fire with Hamas in 2012, after Obama gave his word that he would prevent Hamas from obtaining new missiles.  Unfortunately Israel, like so many others, is heavily suffering the consequences of Obama’s “words”.

Iraq hits very close to home.  Over one million brave American soldiers made innumerable sacrifices fighting there.  In 2011, Obama withdrew our troops despite the many warnings from high ranking military and Republicans in Congress, that doing so could reverse the progress made.  Now less than three years later, the entire country has almost been taken over by the extreme militants known as ISIS.  This group is brutally murdering thousands and causing hundreds of thousands to flee their homes.  After taking control of the city of Mosul, they robbed it’s central bank of $429 million.  ISIS is lead by Abu Bakr al Baghdadi, who was captured by American forces in 2005 and released from camp Bucca by Obama in 2009.

We are still fighting in Afghanistan.  Obama wants to have all troops out by the end of 2016.  Of course he is being advised against this by Generals on the ground, especially considering the effects of our withdrawal from Iran.  However, Obama has made it very clear that he is going to do things his way, not based on what’s best for America. His recent actions in Afghanistan showed this when his administration “accidentally” released to the press the name of the CIA chief stationed there, then a week later, he traded 5 of the most dangerous terrorists American soldiers had captured, for a soldier who was taken prisoner by the Taliban after deserting his post, leaving behind a note declaring he wanted to renounce his U.S. Citizenship.  So goes our longstanding tradition of not negotiating with terrorists.

When you put the facts together, it’s chilling to think what Obama means when he thinks he’s intervening in a “meaningful way”.  He says he will not allow dictators to have chemical weapons or terrorists to use missiles against Israel as he sits idle and watches them happen.  He is undermining all of the progress our American soldiers have sacrificed for by prematurely withdrawing our troops.  He has found ways to release the most dangerous terrorists after our forces have sacrificed their lives to capture them.  This is not an overstatement.  We are seeing what Baghdadi, the leader of ISIS, is doing.  When he was released he told one of the guards, “I will see you in New York”.  Make no mistake, he is planning, and he has $429 million now to work with.

Josh Earnest, as ironic as his last name is, might have gotten the meaningful part right depending on what your values are, but he is deadly wrong on the tranquility part.

Obama’s luxurious way to get things done

Never shy about praising himself, Obama loves to say, “I gets things done”.  However, where the rubber fails to meet the road is, he doesn’t like the way America’s system works.  He ignores that we have a Constitution, and in it, our Founding Fathers clearly laid out three branches of government, for the very purpose that no one gains too much power.  To American’s it’s law. To Obama it’s an outdated piece of paper.

He wants to tell congress what he wants done while he’s on very expensive vacations, paid for by hard working Americans, playing unlimited golf, endless fundraising for the democrats, and posing for tightly controlled photo ops, like his recent beer and billiards at a pool hall in Denver.  Since this isn’t how the American system works, they don’t “follow his directions”.

When he returns, he announces that he is going to do something by Executive Order, because Congress just doesn’t want to get anything done.  Start over, and repeat. There you have it, our President hard at work!

If you have something to say, say it!

I can’t remember a time when I didn’t love this country.  I was born and raised near the Florida/Georgia line, with good ole’ Southern values.  God, family and country are the three things I have always known to be most important.

Ronald Reagan was the first president I have actual memories of, and oh how I loved that man.  His presidency just solidified what my daddy told me all my life about what an honor it is to be an American, and how great it is to be a Republican.

Daddy went to his grave as a registered Republican, and I will be doing the same.  As far as that other side goes, another thing my daddy always said was, “if ya lay down with dogs, you’re gonna get fleas”.  The way I see it, there must be a lot of itching going on in Washington these days!

My two hazel eyes can see that the people in power are not doing what they should to watch over this great country.

I get so frustrated by what I see going on, I just about can’t stand it.  So I’ll write about it.
